Phil Hawksworth

Phil Hawksworth is a seasoned technology professional with over two decades of experience in developer relations and technical roles. Currently serving as Head of Developer Relations at Deno since October 2024, Phil previously contributed significantly to Netlify as a Principal Developer Experience Engineer, focusing on JAMstack and modern web development techniques. Other notable positions include Group Technology Director at R/GA, Technical Director at The Team Brand Communications Limited, and Creative Developer at BT, where a commitment to open-source practices was demonstrated through involvement with Osmosoft. Phil's earlier roles span software engineering and development positions at Verisign, Propero, A Bilbrough & Co Ltd, and CSK Software, following an education in Computer Science and Business at Aston University.
