Taras Shymbra

Taras Shymbra is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the financial technology sector. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at ION since November 2017, Taras has played a crucial role in developing pricing components and infrastructure, notably creating a ROBOT acceptance test harness for the Curve Manager component in the FX product suite. Prior experience includes working at DekaBank Deutsche Girozentrale, where Taras held multiple roles involving C++, core Java, and Python, focusing on algo trading, high-frequency trading, and market-making. Previous positions also include consulting for trading systems at Sopra Steria, developing quantitative trading solutions at CMC Markets, and contributing to FX trading technology consulting projects at Progress. Taras began their career with roles at VITRONIC Machine Vision, FAW Research Institute, GlobalLogic, and as an IAESTE trainee. Taras holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Lviv Polytechnic National University.
