Dental Assisting National Board
Amy Stone has extensive experience in editorial and design roles, currently serving as Communications Editor/Graphic Designer and Copy Editor at the Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. since July 2011. Previous positions include Editor and Writer as a freelancer from 2006 to 2016, Staff Editor at the American Nuclear Society from June 2009 to July 2011, and Associate Editor at the American Library Association from 1997 to 2006. Additional experience includes roles as Editorial Assistant at the American Library Association, Library Clerk at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, and Library Clerk at both Coralville Public Library and Iowa City Public Library. Amy Stone holds a B.A. in Art from the University of Iowa and also attended the University of Chicago Graham School.
Dental Assisting National Board
The Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) was founded in 1980 and is the organization responsible for dental assistant certifications. A total of nearly 37,000 dental assistants are DANB certified nationwide. DANB is a nonprofit organization that is part of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence. The CDA and COA certification programs offeredby DANB have been accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
