Heechang Kim

Heechang Kim has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Heechang is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Dentsply Sirona since January 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Team Lead at Playtika from January 2020 to January 2022, and at InseytAI SA Ltd. from November 2019 to January 2020. Before that, they worked at Fision Technologies as a Team Lead from April 2018 to November 2019, where they were involved in 3D human body reconstruction and recommendation engine. Heechang also worked as a Research Scientist at Cognitec Systems from an unknown start date to February 2018. Heechang started their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Institut Pasteur Korea from January 2011 to July 2012, and later on worked as a Software Engineer from October 2006 to December 2010. Additionally, they gained experience as a Software Engineer at Avent Technologies from January 2000 to January 2002. Heechang started their professional journey as a Research Assistant at the Department of Neuropsychiatry at UCLA from January 1999 to January 2000, and later taught as a Lecturer and was a Teaching Assistant at UCLA from October 1997 to July 1998.

Heechang Kim earned a Ph.D in Mathematics/Informatics from Université René Descartes (Paris V) from 2008 to 2011. Heechang also completed an M.A in Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles from 1994 to 1998, and a B.S in Applied Mathematics from the same university from 1994 to 1997. Additionally, Heechang Kim pursued a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Mathematics at Université Paris Cité.
