Lauren Fretz Thompson

Lauren Fretz Thompson is an experienced professional in the art museum and education sectors, currently serving as a Senior Interpretive Specialist at the Denver Art Museum since March 2016. Previously held positions include Interpretive Specialist for Western American, European & American Art, Education Specialist at the University of Michigan, Director of Programs at the Ann Arbor Art Center, Student Programs Coordinator at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and Gallery Assistant & 023 Gallery Director at the Myhren Gallery, University of Denver. Lauren's early career included a role as the 2005 Pollock Curatorial Fellow at the Pollock Gallery, Southern Methodist University, and a Development Intern at the New York Foundation for the Arts. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Art History with certification in Museum Studies from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Art History with a minor in Business Administration from Trinity University.
