Kevin Smith has been in the film industry for over 10 years. Kevin started out as a production manager for S3 Entertainment Group, LLC. and then became the Executive Director - Client Strategy at Synectics Media. In January 2014, Kevin became the CEO at Denver Film.
Kevin is responsible for strategic planning and consulting, business growth planning, sales pipeline strategy development and management, and integrated marketing strategies. Kevin has also developed a state-wide accredited Film Industry Training Program to transition people affected by the economic downturn, including managing internship and job placement in the television and feature film industry for over 400 graduates.
In their previous role as the Feature Film Production Manager at S3 Entertainment Group, LLC., Kevin managed the production office, handling all day-to-day business operations. Kevin also oversaw all digital marketing initiatives, including website development, SEO, social media campaigns, and integrated marketing planning. In addition, Kevin was responsible for budgeting and financing for new film productions, hiring local crews and vendors, locations scouting, and production management. Kevin has worked with over 40 feature films ranging in budget from $1 million to $40 million.
Before working in the film industry, Kevin was the Corporate Sponsorship & Sports Marketing Manager for the Detroit Pistons at Palace Sports & Entertainment. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing corporate sponsorship and sports marketing programs.
