Laney Shaler

Laney Shaler serves as a Senior Advisor at Denver Public Schools, where responsibilities have included holding positions such as Deputy Chief of Staff, Chief of Staff for Equity & Engagement, and Director of Teacher Pathways and Development since July 2013. Key achievements involve redesigning a multi-year growth and development program for over 1,000 new educators, leading to significant increases in teacher retention and notable cost savings. Laney has managed a $2.2 million budget, directed recruitment strategies to fill over 900 vacancies, and established impactful partnerships with various educational institutions. Previous experience includes roles at The Broad Center for the Management of School Systems, the City of Chicago, and the University of Chicago Urban Education Institute, as well as teaching for Teach For America.
