Samantha Haviland

Samantha Haviland is an accomplished leader in the field of education, currently serving as the Executive Director of Career Development and Student Supports at Denver Public Schools since January 2012. With a focus on work-based learning, student engagement, and counseling and college access, Samantha is dedicated to supporting students K-12 in their educational journeys. Previous roles include Director of Counseling Support Services and GEAR UP Grant Manager, where Samantha effectively managed multi-million dollar grants and guided school counselors. Additionally, Samantha holds experience as a board member of the Colorado School Counseling Association and served as an adjunct professor at both the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Samantha earned a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Oregon State University, along with another Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration and a Master's in Counseling and Career Development from Colorado State University.
