Angelica Lopez-Rodriguez

Angelica (Angie) Lopez-Rodriguez was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She is a first-generation Mexican-American woman who earned her bachelor’s degree in human services with a concentration in high-risk youth from the Metropolitan State University of Denver in the fall 2016. Through various work-study and internship opportunities she received in college, she developed a passion for college access work and went on to pursue a master’s degree from the University of Colorado Denver. In spring 2019, Angie earned her Master of Arts degree in counseling with a concentration in higher education and student affairs. Throughout her time in graduate school, she served as the undocumented student services specialist at the University of Colorado Denver and then began working with YESS Mentoring as their postsecondary success navigator, later serving as their director of postsecondary success. Angie is thrilled to work with the senior class at Bruce Randolph School to support students in their postsecondary planning. Angie’s passion for college access work and DSF comes from personal experience of not having a DSF Future Center at her high school when she was a senior. Because of this, as a College Advisor, she ensures students know about the postsecondary opportunities that exist and the possibilities their futures can hold.
