Denver Scholarship Foundation
Katie is originally from Los Angeles, California but also grew up in Arkansas. She moved to Colorado to attend Colorado College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in southwest studies and music. As a Latina and first-generation Salvadoran American college student, Katie uses her experiences to connect and help students at Thomas Jefferson High School and Denver South High School as the Colorado College Fellow – College Advisor. She is excited to continue giving back to her various communities by providing seniors with accessible resources to higher education.

Denver Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit organization that actively works inside DPS high schools and on a variety of college campuses to not only help DPS students get into and pay for college, but to ultimately graduate as well.
