Carlos Eduardo Sandoval

Carlos Eduardo Sandoval is an experienced advisor and consultant with a strong background in economics and public policy. Currently serving as an Advisor at Departamento Nacional de Planeación since April 2020, Carlos has also worked as a Consultant for DIAN Dirección de Impuestos y Aduanas Nacionales, focusing on the shadow economy and tax reforms. Previous roles include Team Leader for the Targeting Team at Secretaría Distrital de Integración Social and various research positions at notable institutions such as the Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo and the World Bank Group, addressing issues of labor markets, poverty, and inequality. Carlos holds a Ph.D. and an MPhil in Economics from Tilburg University, alongside a Master's degree from The London School of Economics and political studies, supplemented by graduate specialization in Statistics and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
