James Barker

James Barker is an experienced organisational development professional with a robust career spanning various high-profile roles in the UK public sector. Since August 2021, James has served as the Deputy Director of Organisational Design & Development at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Prior roles include Senior Organisational Development Practitioner at the UK Home Office and Head of Organisational Development at the Ministry of Justice UK. James has also held positions such as Organisational Development Manager at Her Majesty's Prison and Probation Service and Consultant roles at NCVO and The Work Foundation. An organisational consultant with expertise in change management and strategy development, James has collaborated with international organisations and holds an MSc in Organisational Behaviour from Birkbeck, University of London, and a BA in English from the University of Southampton.
