Caridad Fernandez

Caridad Fernandez has an extensive background in public service, currently serving as a Civil Rights Officer in the General Services division at the Florida Department of Children and Families since March 2013. In this role, Caridad is responsible for investigating employment discrimination complaints in accordance with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, ensuring equitable access to services for clients. Previously, as a Hearing Officer at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles from January 2007 to February 2013, Caridad conducted hearings related to DUI and controlled substance cases. Caridad also served as a Tax Collector for Orange County Government from July 1999 to August 2006, managing vehicle registration and hunting license processing. Educational background includes studies at Miami Dade College and attendance at Hoboken High School from 1980 to 1984.
