Matt Meyer has extensive experience in the field of Information Technology, particularly in the credit union industry. Matt started their career at Florida Credit Union in 2004 as the Vice President of Information Services, where they served for 12 years. In 2016, they joined BrightStar Credit Union as the Vice President of Information Technology/ CIO, and held this position until 2019. From 2019 to 2023, Matt worked as the Vice President of Information Technology at Fort Worth Community Credit Union. Currently, they are the Vice President of Information Technology at the Department of Commerce Federal Credit Union.
Matt Meyer earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science with a concentration in cyber security and artificial intelligence from Jacksonville University between 1999 and 2003. In 2008, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree at the University of Florida, with a focus on data analytics and demographics. Matt Meyer also holds several certifications, including the GIAC Strategic Planning, Policy, and Leadership (GSTRT) from GIAC Certifications, obtained in May 2023, and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², obtained in July 2019. Matt also obtained the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) in January 2018 and the GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB) in March 2015, both from GIAC Certifications.
