Marie-Anne Keeffe

Marie-Anne Keeffe, known as MAK, currently serves as the Director of Communications for the Department of Education in Western Australia since May 2023. Prior to this role, Marie-Anne held positions as Project Manager for the Australian Consumer Law Training and for COVID-19 Campaigns Consumer Protection within the Government of Western Australia. A seasoned media professional, Marie-Anne spent over 25 years at Seven Network, where responsibilities included General Manager of Telethon 7 Perth and Executive Producer of Today Tonight. Additional experience includes serving as Executive Producer for “The Sattler File” at Radio 6PR Perth Pty Ltd. Marie-Anne founded Gobsmaked Media in 2000, focusing on strategic messaging and crisis management. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University and a Broadcasting degree from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.
