Ashley Johnson

Ashley Johnson is an International Relations Specialist at the U.S. Department of Energy, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Ashley served at The National Bureau of Asian Research from November 2015 to January 2023, where responsibilities included guiding projects related to energy security and sustainability in the Indo-Pacific and collaborating with various stakeholders to produce policy-related documents. Ashley's experience also encompasses a range of roles at the Bureau, including Senior Director and Project Manager. An internship at the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai provided valuable insights into visa analysis and resolution. Ashley holds a Master of Arts in International Economics, Energy, Resources, and the Environment from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, along with a Certificate in Chinese and American Studies from Hopkins Nanjing Center and a Bachelor of Arts in International/Global Studies from Southwestern University.
