Astrid Morreale

Astrid Morreale serves as the Office of Science Nuclear Theory program manager at the U.S. Department of Energy since March 2022 and has been involved with the American Physical Society in various capacities, including Past Chair of the Four Corners Section and referee for multiple journals. Astrid has contributed as a referee for the Elsevier Information Fusion Journal and as an evaluator for research project proposals under the European Commission's Horizon H2020 program. Previous roles include Scientific Staff at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Senior Associate Scientist at the Center for Frontiers in Nuclear Science. Astrid's academic qualifications include a habilitation in Natural Sciences from Université Paris Cité, a PhD in Nuclear and Particle Physics from the University of California, Riverside, and additional degrees in Physics from the same institution and UCLA.
