Cyber Assessment Lead at Department of Energy

Brandon Moody, MS, CISSP, CEH has extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Currently, they are working as a Cyber Assessment Lead at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), where they started in July 2022. Prior to that, they were a Cyber Security Instructor at NYU School of Professional Studies, Cybint Solutions, University of Central Florida, and New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2022 and 2021. Brandon Moody, also served as an Adjunct Professor of CyberSecurity at Towson University from 2020 onward. From 2015 to 2022, Brandon worked as a Senior Cybersecurity Auditor at HHS Office of Inspector General. Additionally, they briefly held the position of Adjunct Professor of Cybersecurity at Howard Community College from August to December 2019.

Brandon Moody holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Cybersecurity from the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, which they obtained from 2015 to 2017. Prior to that, they attended Towson University from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science with a focus on the Security Track. Brandon Moody, completed their high school education at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute from 2007 to 2011, obtaining a High School Diploma with a field of study in Science. Additionally, Brandon Moody has obtained several certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) in 2019 from (ISC)², and Certified Ethical Hacker from EC-Council. Brandon Moody, also holds certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Splunk.
