Keith J. Benes is a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Energy, specializing in the facilitation and acceleration of energy infrastructure deployment and the development of AI-powered tools for permitting under the DOE voltAIc Initiative. Previously, Keith served as Managing Partner at Euclid Development Partners LLC, focusing on Net-Zero Energy residences in Washington, DC, and also held the role of Managing Director at Euclid Strategies, LLC, providing strategic guidance on clean energy deployment and environmental assessment. Keith has academic experience as an Adjunct Professor at American University and as a Fellow at Columbia University Center on Global Energy Policy. A former Attorney-Adviser at the U.S. Department of State and Associate at Hogan Lovells, Keith has a strong legal background with substantial experience in corporate compliance and environmental law. Keith holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master’s degree from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
