Melinda Higgins is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in STEM education and policy, currently serving as the Director of STEM Programs at the U.S. Department of Energy. Previous roles include Nuclear Energy Tribal STEM Advisor and Established Scientist/Science Technology Policy Fellow within the DOE, as well as Education Program Specialist at the USPTO. Melinda has also contributed as an Upper School STEM Teacher at The Harpeth Hall School and as an Einstein Fellow at NASA. Melinda holds a Master of Education in Secondary Science Education from Vanderbilt University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Spring Hill College.
