Mohamed Kamaludeen, PhD, serves as the Acting Director of Energy Storage Analysis at the U.S. Department of Energy, leading national efforts in energy storage analysis and validation. With extensive experience at Con Edison from 2008 to 2023, Mohamed managed the integration of Distributed Energy Resources and ultimately oversaw significant planning and execution strategies for the electric grid. In addition to his role within the DOE, Mohamed holds the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University, teaching a course on energy storage for the electric grid. Mohamed has also contributed as a Junior Board Member for HEAF and has experience in project engineering with Tiffany & Co. Educational credentials include a PhD, MEng, and MA from The City College of New York, as well as a Bachelor's from Clarkson University.
