Jordan Hamston

Jordan Hamston is a seasoned professional in energy systems and environmental policy, currently serving as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action since November 2024. Previously, Jordan held various roles at Climateworks Centre, including Senior Project Manager for the Industry System, where efforts focused on the Australian Industry Energy Transition Initiative, helping industries achieve net zero emissions. Additionally, Jordan contributed to the design and delivery of impactful multi-year programs and coordinated critical projects related to CO2 capture and storage at CO2CRC Limited between December 2016 and March 2021. Jordan's earlier experience includes a position as Project Officer at TPG Telecom. Academically, Jordan is pursuing a Master's degree in Energy Systems at the University of Melbourne, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Deakin University, along with certifications in project management.
