Sebastian Chapman

Sebastian Chapman is an experienced professional in land, environment, and energy policy, currently serving as the Executive Director of Land and Environment Policy at the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action since 2014. In this role, Sebastian has also held positions such as Executive Director of Waste and Recycling and Executive Lead for the Container Deposit Scheme Implementation. Prior to this, a tenure at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning saw Sebastian as the Director of Governance and Investment Strategy for Catchments and Biodiversity. Sebastian's earlier experience includes various managerial and advisory roles at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic) and legal positions at Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, as well as Middletons Lawyers. Sebastian holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and completed further education at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
