Fang Chen

Fang Chen is a Distinguished Professor with extensive expertise in data science and artificial intelligence. Currently serving on the Industry Innovation and Science Australia Board, Fang contributes as a Venture Partner at Meraki Venture Capital and is a member of the Scientific Advisory Committee at the QUT Centre for Data Science. Additional roles include participation on the Advisory Board of FYLD, directorship at ITS Australia, and co-chairing the National Transport Data Community of Practice. As the Chair of the Steering Committee for ACM Intelligent User Interfaces, Fang fosters collaboration between the Human-Computer Interaction and Artificial Intelligence communities. Other significant contributions include membership on the National Research Foundation Competitive Research Program Expert Panel in Singapore and service on the NSW Government AI Advisory Committee. Fang holds an Executive Director position at the University of Technology Sydney and possesses advanced degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from reputable institutions in China.
