Jenni Rigby

Executive Director, Emergency Management Strateg at Department of Justice and Community Safety

Jenni Rigby is the Acting Deputy Secretary & Chief Executive of Emergency Management Victoria at the Department of Justice and Community Safety. Jenni has extensive experience in policy and planning, having served as the Director of Policy and Planning for Fire and Emergency Management at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, as well as Senior Manager, Portfolio Liaison and Governance at the Department of Sustainability and Environment. Jenni has also coordinated and brokered outcomes and partnerships between local, state and Commonwealth government in environment and natural resource management as the Environment Policy Coordinator at the Local Government Association of Tasmania.

Jenni Rigby has a Masters of Business Administration from Monash University, as well as a certification from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in the Graduate Company Directors Course. Jenni also has a certification from ANZSOG - The Australia and New Zealand School of Government in Behavioural Insights - Advanced workshop, and a certification from Emergency Management Victoria in Executive Consequence Management. Jenni Rigby is also a graduate of ESSAM - European Summer School for Advanced Management, where they completed units in the International Business School - MBA.

Their manager is Rebecca Falkingham, Secretary. They work with Corri McKenzie - Deputy Secretary, Police, Fines and Crime Prevention, John Batho - Deputy Secretary, Consumer Affairs, Liquor, Gaming & Dispute Services, and Emma Cassar - Commissioner, Corrections Victoria.
