Laura Hunter

Laura Hunter is an experienced professional currently serving as the Director of the Office of the Director General at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries since June 2022. Prior to this role, Laura spent over a decade at the Public Sector Commission, where responsibilities included Manager of Strategy and Governance and various leadership positions in strategic planning and governance. Laura's earlier experience includes a role as Research and Editorial Assistant at Miles Morgan Australia. Academically, Laura holds a Graduate Diploma in Communications from The University of Western Australia, a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management from Flinders University, a Certificate IV in Government Investigations from the International Academy of Law Enforcement and Security, and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from the University of Leeds. Recently, Laura completed the Company Directors Course at the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
