Tara Vogels

Tara Vogels is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Senior Corporate Communications Officer at the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries since April 2023. Prior to this role, Tara worked at WA Police for ten years in various positions, including Senior Corporate Communications Officer, Speech Writer, and Senior Public Affairs Officer. Tara's earlier experience includes serving as the Senior Brand and Communications Advisor at Allianz Global Assistance, where responsibilities included managing internal communications and media relations, and the Corporate Relations Officer at the Australian Hotels Association, where corporate sponsorships and event coordination were key duties. Tara's background also includes roles in sales at Lasso Media and as State Secretary at The Houghton Wine Company. Tara holds a Mass Communications degree with a major in Public Relations and Media Communications from Queensland University of Technology, complemented by education at Southbank TAFE.
