John Harkin

John Harkin is an experienced professional who has worked in various roles within the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Tas) and the Department of Primary Industries, Parks, Water and Environment (DPIPWE). Currently, John serves as the Chair of the National Social Recovery Reference Group and as the Assistant Director in Resilience and Recovery Tasmania. John has a strong background in project management, community recovery, and conservation programs, and has played key roles in disaster response and recovery, policy development, and program implementation throughout their career. John has also worked on sensitive projects related to climate change, coastal adaptation, and indigenous cultural values.
