Sophie Smith

Sophie Smith currently serves as an Acting Principal Policy Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Tas), focusing on Security and Emergency Management within the Resilience and Recovery Tasmania division since June 2022. Prior roles include Policy Analyst in the same department and at the Department of Police, Fire and Emergency Management, where responsibilities involved work at the COVID-19 Coordination Centre. Sophie has a solid background in project management as a Senior Project Officer at the Department of State Growth (Tas), particularly with the Hobart City Deal, engaging with various stakeholders to deliver strategic policy and project outcomes.
