Ian Sanders

Ian Sanders currently serves as the Manager of Agrigrowth Resilience and Innovation at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment Tasmania (NRE Tas), a position held since November 2022, where leadership is provided to a skilled team focused on advancing Tasmania's land-based agricultural sectors. Prior experience includes roles as Principal at Ian Sanders Business Consulting since February 2022, Director and Leader of International Engagement at NSW DPI from September 2013 to December 2021, and Export Advisor within the Department of Trade & Investment Regional Infrastructure and Services from April 2008 to September 2013, assisting exporters in regional NSW. Additional roles include Export Development Manager at the Canberra Business Council and contributions to Austrade's education programs. Ian Sanders holds a B.Sc(Ag) in Agricultural Education from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Education from Edith Cowan University, and is also a participant in the Australian Institute of Company Directors' Company Directors Course.
