Acting Special Representative For Racial Equity And Justice at U.S. Department of State

Amber Greene currently serves as the Acting Special Representative for Racial Equity and Justice at the U.S. Department of State, focusing on advancing human rights for marginalized racial, ethnic, and Indigenous communities and combating systemic racism globally. Prior to this role, Amber was a Special Assistant to the President for Racial and Economic Justice within the Domestic Policy Council at The White House, where responsibilities included overseeing the implementation of President Biden's initiatives on racial equity. Previous positions include Deputy Director of Media Relations at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, and Vice President at Ogilvy, among others. Amber has extensive experience in policy development, media relations, and crisis communications, backed by a Master in Public Policy from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from SUNY New Paltz.
