Eguiar Lizundia

Eguiar Lizundia is an experienced professional in governance and anti-corruption, currently serving as an Anticorruption Program Advisor at the U.S. Department of State since August 2024. Prior to this role, Eguiar held several positions at the International Republican Institute from July 2016 to July 2024, including Senior Advisor, Governance and Anti-Corruption, where strategic guidance was provided for global initiatives against corruption. Eguiar has also worked at The World Bank as a Governance Specialist from January 2012 to July 2016, offering technical advice on development solutions, and previously served in various capacities within other organizations, including the National Democratic Institute and the Organization of American States. Eguiar holds a Master’s Degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, complemented by an International Program Certificate from Sciences Po.
