K. Gus Dimitrelos

Lead Instructor - Cyber ATA Program at U.S. Department of State

K. Gus Dimitrelos has an extensive work history in the field of cyber forensics and law enforcement. K. Gus began their career in 1993 as a Police Officer at the Fort Lauderdale Police Department. In 1995, they joined the U.S. Secret Service, where they served as a Special Agent and later retired from the position. During their time with the Secret Service, Dimitrelos supervised all 15 Electronic Crime Task Forces throughout the USA and worked as the lead interviewer for the 2003 U.S.A. In 2007, they joined the U.S. Department of State, where they worked as a Subject Matter Expert and Cyber ATA Program Lead Instructor. Dimitrelos also served as a Consultant and Digital Evidence Expert for the U.S. Attorney's Office during this time. In 2009, they joined the Regional Counterdrug Training Academy as a Course Developer and Lead Instructor, specializing in Mobile Device Forensics and Cellular Triangulation for Law Enforcement. Finally, in 2010, they began working at Cyber Forensics as an expert in the field.

K. Gus Dimitrelos attended the University of Central Florida from 1984 to 1989, though the degree and field of study are unspecified. In 2016, they obtained a certification as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from the EC-Council.
