Sean Bartlett

Sean Bartlett is a seasoned communications and policy expert currently serving as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Strategy, Outreach & Events within the Bureau of Global Public Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Bartlett held various prominent roles, including Senior Advisor for Congressional Affairs at the Department of State and Senior Vice President of Communications at the Export-Import Bank of the United States. With extensive experience in government, including service in the U.S. Senate and the Democratic National Committee, Bartlett has a proven track record in communications, policy advising, and strategic outreach. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Ethics, Peace, & Global Affairs from American University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Studies, and Spanish from Stony Brook University.
