Neeraj Mittal

Neeraj Mittal currently serves as Secretary at the Department of Telecommunications since September 2023. Prior to this role, Mittal was the CMD of the TN Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation from February to September 2023. Between May 2021 and February 2023, Mittal held the position of Principal Secretary for Information Technology with the Government of Tamil Nadu, focusing on the digital transformation of governance. From May 2019 to May 2021, Mittal acted as MD and CEO of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau, where efforts were made to attract investors and support new industries. Mittal also contributed as a Senior Advisor at the World Bank Group from June 2015 to June 2018 and served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas at the Government of India from June 2008 to June 2015. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Management Information Systems from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, an education at Cranfield School of Management, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
