Colleen Castle has extensive experience in international projects and wildlife conservation, currently serving as Team Lead for Energy and Middle East Projects at the U.S. Department of the Interior since October 2015, after previously holding a similar position focused on Africa and the Middle East. In 2015, Colleen acted as Senior Wildlife Trafficking Advisor at USAID, drafting critical communications on climate change and wildlife initiatives. Earlier roles at the U.S. Department of the Interior involved managing technical assistance projects across various countries, including the design and implementation in collaboration with USAID and the State Department. Colleen's career began with positions at the Council on Foreign Relations, America Abroad Media, and Michigan Radio, where skills in communication and research were developed. Colleen holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from McGill University.
