Diane Laywell

Diane Laywell, PMP, CSM, currently serves as the Chief of the Program and Project Management Branch at the U.S. Department of the Interior since February 2020. With a robust background in project and program management, Diane has previously held roles such as Project Manager at the Department of Interior's Interior Business Center, where responsibilities included managing IT and procurement projects, and as Project and Program Manager for the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, overseeing high-profile projects. Additional experience includes serving as Court Services Program Manager for Travis County, Program Manager at the Texas Department of Public Safety, and various roles within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where Diane managed risk assessment operations and aviation programs. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Xavier University and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Iona University.
