Zerrick Shanks

Zerrick Shanks, MPA, SFPC, serves as the Chief of the Personnel Security Branch at the U.S. Department of the Interior since November 2021, providing leadership for adjudicative public trust and National Security programs and managing personnel security initiatives. Previously, Zerrick held positions including Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist and Security Manager for the U.S. Air Force, overseeing personnel security clearances and various security programs. In addition to a role as Board Director for Northern Colorado Credit Union, Zerrick has experience as a Human Resources Generalist with the City of Evans and has served in multiple security-focused capacities within the U.S. Air Force Security Forces. Zerrick holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Penn State University and multiple degrees in Criminal Justice and General Studies from various institutions.
