Nilakshan Swarnarajah is an experienced policy consultant and manager with a strong background in vocational education and training (VET), having held various senior positions at the Department of Training and Workforce Development since 2011. Currently, Nilakshan serves as Principal Policy Consultant focusing on Apprenticeship and Traineeship Policy and VET System Policy, overseeing project management and critical analysis of policies and workforce data. Previous roles include Acting Director at South Metropolitan TAFE, A/Assistant Director at the Mental Health Commission, and extensive international experience as Program Manager at the British High Commission in Colombo. Nilakshan's educational qualifications include an MBA, a Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management, and a Diploma in Conflict Resolution, supplemented by leadership training at UNSW.
