Denise Nacu

Denise Nacu currently serves as the Director of the School of Design and holds various academic positions, including Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Professional Lecturer, and Instructor at DePaul University since September 2012. Prior to this role, Denise Nacu was the Director of Design at the University of Chicago from December 2003 to September 2012, where responsibilities included leading the design of technology tools for enhancing teaching and learning. Denise Nacu also worked as a User Interface Specialist/Rapid Prototyper at the University of Chicago, focusing on developing software applications for teacher professional development. Earlier experience includes serving as an Instructional Design Specialist at the University of Illinois Chicago, where Denise Nacu conceptualized web-based instructional tools, and as a Content Specialist at Northwestern University, developing software simulations. Denise Nacu holds a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Art History and Psychology from Columbia University.
