Lexa Murphy is an experienced academic and consultant currently serving as Dean and Professor at DePaul University's College of Communication since July 2013, with prior roles as Professor, Acting Dean, and Associate Dean. With a strong background in communication training, Lexa has provided freelance consulting to various nonprofit, corporate, and community organizations since 1996. Prior experience includes Associate Professor at DePaul University from 1998 to 2013 and corporate trainer at Delta Air Lines from 1989 to 1994, where responsibilities included leadership training and recurrent educational programs for flight attendants and pilots. Lexa holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organizational Communication and Cultural Studies from the University of South Florida and a Master's Degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Utah.
