Don Cortez

Don Cortez began their work experience as a Legislative Intern for Senator Jack Reed in 2012. Don then worked as a Technical Recruiter for TEKsystems from June 2013 to April 2014 before transitioning into the role of Account Manager - Network Infrastructure Services. In this role, they focused on building client relationships and implementing effective talent attraction and retention strategies. Don specialized in network and infrastructure skill sets and supported commercial clients in Montgomery County, MD.

In 2020, Don joined Level Access as an Account Executive, where they partnered with organizations to resolve revenue loss, punitive damages, and compliance risks due to inaccessible websites, software, and mobile applications. Don helped clients develop strategies to incorporate accessibility best practices and ensure conformance with accessibility guidelines using Level Access's suite of SaaS software and managed services solutions.

After their time at Level Access, Don became an Enterprise Account Executive at Infinitive in September 2020, specializing in the financial services sector. Don worked with enterprise organizations to customize accessibility solutions and create digitally accessible websites, mobile apps, products, and platforms.

Currently, Don is an Enterprise Account Executive at Deque Systems, Inc, a role they started in December 2022. Don continues to assist enterprise organizations in customizing accessibility solutions, shifting accessibility left in product lifecycles, and creating positive digital experiences for people with disabilities.

Don Cortez attended Gettysburg College from 2009 to 2013, where they majored in Political Science and Economics. Before that, from 2005 to 2009, they were a student at Pomfret School. In terms of additional certifications, Don obtained the FOCP: FinOps Certified Practitioner certification from The Linux Foundation in October 2022, and they also hold the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), which they acquired in March 2021.
