Yahya Hafez

Yahya Hafez has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Yahya started their career as a Residential Advisor and a Social Justice Educator Intern at UCSD Cross-Cultural Center (CCC) in 2014. In 2015, they became the Director of Internal Affairs at UCSD SPACES. Later, in 2017, they worked as an Administrative Assistant at UC San Diego Health and also served as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan.

Yahya transitioned into the field of technology and web development in 2020 when they attended Fullstack Academy. During the 6-month program, they studied and discussed topics related to front-end, back-end, and full-stack web development. Yahya focused on project-based curriculum and extensively trained in the NERD stack (Node.js, Express, React, Database [PSQL]). Yahya went beyond the class lectures and projects, supplementing their education with extracurricular material and exploring technologies related to the subject.

Following their graduation from Fullstack Academy, Yahya gained work experience as a Full Stack Engineer at Code for PDX and The Deep Technologies in 2020 and 2021 respectively. In 2021, they also worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Catapult Health. In 2022, they joined Cytracom as a React Engineer and is currently employed there. Additionally, they have recently started working as a Full Stack Developer at Deque Systems, Inc.

Throughout their career, Yahya has demonstrated adaptability and a continuous drive for learning, evident in their varied professional experiences and commitment to expanding their knowledge and skills in the tech industry.

Yahya Hafez has a diverse education history. In 2012, they began their undergraduate studies at UC San Diego, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ethnic Studies. During this time, they also completed a minor in Education Studies, which they successfully completed in 2016.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Yahya Hafez went on to pursue further education at the University of Michigan. From 2017 to 2019, they obtained a Master of Arts degree in American Culture. This program provided him with a deeper understanding of various aspects of American society and culture.

In 2020, Yahya Hafez decided to enhance their skill set by attending Fullstack Academy, where they obtained a Training Certification in Full Stack Web Development. This certification program was completed within the same year.

Currently, Yahya Hafez is pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Information Systems at the University of Michigan. Yahya began this program in 2020 and is expected to graduate in 2022.

To complement their educational achievements, Yahya Hafez has also obtained several certifications. In 2021, they completed the "Linux: Overview and Installation" certification from LinkedIn. Additionally, they acquired the "DevOps Foundations" and "Learning Ansible" certifications, also from LinkedIn, in the same year.
