Marcela de Andrade Monti

Marcela De Andrade Monti, DNP has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Marcela started their career as a Pediatric ICU, RN at Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital in 2012 and worked there until 2015. Marcela then became a Bone Health Nurse Practitioner at Children's National Health System from 2015 to 2016. Marcela then transitioned to the pharmaceutical industry, starting as a Medical Science Liaison at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where they covered the U.S. Capital Region and provided medical education and support for two therapies. Marcela later became a Regional Clinical Specialist, covering the U.S. East coast, and provided clinical support and education to healthcare providers. In 2018, Marcela joined AMAG Pharmaceuticals as a Medical Science Liaison, covering the U.S. Capital Region. Their responsibilities included serving as an extension of the Medical Affairs organization. Marcela's most recent position is as a Regional Medical Scientist at Ascendis Pharma, where they played a key role in the launch and commercialization of their product, Skytrofa, and created awareness for Ascendis' endocrine pipeline. Marcela also developed territories, cultivated relationships with key opinion leaders, and supported clinical trial operations. Currently, Marcela holds the position of Field Medical Director at Dermavant Sciences, starting in 2023.

Marcela De Andrade Monti, DNP completed their education at the University of Florida. Marcela earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology in 2010 and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Nursing in 2011. In 2015, they obtained their Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, specializing in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Marcela also holds the certification of PNCB Board Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
