Kara Gardner

Kara Gardner currently serves as the High School Principal at Derry Area School District since July 2022. Previously, Kara held the position of Blairsville Elementary Principal at River Valley SD from July 2021 to June 2022, and served as Associate Principal at Derry Area School District from August 2018 to July 2021. Prior experience includes working as an Elementary School Counselor at Homer-Center School District from June 2014 to August 2018. Kara holds a Principal Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earned between 2017 and 2018, as well as a degree in School Counseling K-12 from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania (2012-2014) and a degree in Elementary Education (K-6) from PennWest California (2006-2010).
