Joe Dehart

Joe Dehart is currently the Provost at the Newton Campus of Des Moines Area Community College. Joe has held this position since May of 2002. Prior to that, Joe was a consultant for the Iowa Department of Education from May of 1998 to May of 2002. In that role, they were responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting K12 data collected via the Basic Educational Data Survey (BEDS) for the Department. Joe also served as Iowa's Common Core Data (CCD) Coordinator for the National Center for Educational Statistics. Joe planned and conducted many research projects for the Department while they were there. From May of 1996 to May of 1998, Joe was the Associate Director of Alternative Schools for the Iowa Valley Community College District.

Joe Dehart has a PhD in Education from Iowa State University, an MS in Educational Administration from Iowa State University, and a BS in General Science from the University of Iowa.
