Jacob McKee is an experienced Geospatial Engineer at Descartes Labs since July 2021, with a strong background in geospatial analysis and data management. Prior to this role, Jacob served as a Research Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory from March 2014 to July 2021, focusing on high-resolution satellite imagery and global population modeling. Jacob also contributed as a Postmaster Researcher at ORAU, where population distribution scenarios for 2030 and 2050 were developed. Earlier experience includes roles as a Lab Instructor at The University of Southern Mississippi and a Research Intern at NASA. Jacob holds a Master of Science in Geography and Remote Sensing from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Emory & Henry University.
