Kjartan Ouwerkerk

Kjartan Ouwerkerk has a diverse work experience that spans several industries and positions. Kjartan began their career at CGI Nederland as a Business Process Management Consultant, where they conducted customer-oriented studies and provided creative solutions to increase effectiveness. Kjartan then joined Nordic Design as a Web Manager, responsible for maintaining and optimizing their Wordpress website.

Afterwards, Ouwerkerk joined Descartes Systems Group, starting as an Implementation Consultant in EMEA, where they participated in pre-sales activities and implemented applications. Kjartan then became an Implementation Consultant in North America, analyzing and registering processes, and testing systems and integration. Later, they took on the role of Manager of Education and Training, where they established a training department and implemented strategies and processes to support business goals.

Finally, Ouwerkerk became the Director of Project Management Office for North America, overseeing the PMO to ensure projects met business goals and requirements. Kjartan also assumed the role of Director of Education and Training, with end-to-end responsibility for all educational programs, curriculum development, and program review. Throughout their career, Ouwerkerk has demonstrated expertise in project management, education, training, and process improvement.

Kjartan Ouwerkerk completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2003 to 2007. In addition, they attended a Master class in BPM at Logica Academy in 2007. Kjartan also studied Business at Copenhagen Business School for a short period in 2005. Prior to their university education, Kjartan completed a course in IT-Media production at Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam from 1999 to 2003. Kjartan has obtained certifications in instructional design, ITIL, BISL, FLOWer Developer Basic, ARIS Business Designer, and Protos BPM Basis CMG.
