Ashley Volz

Ashley Volz is an experienced emergency management professional currently serving as the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Services Coordinator for Deschutes County since February 2017. This role emphasizes expertise in County and Municipal Emergency Operations Plans and Continuity of Operations Plans, along with skills in alert and warning systems, school-based emergency preparedness, CERT coordination, and GIS/mapping. Prior experience includes serving as a School Resource Officer and Patrol Officer for the City of Bend, where responsibilities included informal counseling and law enforcement duties. Additionally, Ashley held positions as a Community Service Officer with Redmond Police Department and as a Seasonal Bike Officer with Sunriver Police Department, alongside early experience as a Campus Safety Monitor at Western Oregon University. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law Enforcement/History from Western Oregon University and an Advanced Police Certification from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training.
