Shahid Amin, FCA has over 20 years of work experience in financial roles. Shahid is currently the Head of Finance, Middle East & Africa at Descon, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Finance Manager (MEA) at Johnson Controls from October 2017 to May 2022.

From 2012 to 2017, Shahid worked at UNITED TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION, first as a Financial Controller and then as a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis. In these roles, they were responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance evaluation, and reporting to various levels of management, including the Board of Directors.

Before joining UNITED TECHNOLOGIES CORPORATION, Shahid served as a Financial Controller at Engro Corporation from February 2010 to January 2012. Prior to that, they worked at Engro Chemical Pakistan Ltd as a Senior Accounts Officer from July 2007 to January 2010.

Shahid's career began at A. F. Ferguson & Co, where they worked as an Auditor from 2001 to 2005. During this time, they were involved in statutory audits and special assignments for organizations in various industries.

Additionally, Shahid has experience as a Financial Controller at IFFCO Pakistan Pvt Ltd from September 2006 to June 2007 and as a Senior Manager at Callmate Telips Telecom Limited from 2005 to 2006.

Shahid Amin, FCA, pursued their education in accounting and finance. Shahid attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained the title of Fellow Member. Additionally, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of the Punjab from 1999 to 2000. Shahid Amin also acquired additional certifications, including an Associate Public Accountant (APA) from the Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA) in September 2001 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Cost & Management Accounting from the University of the Punjab in March 2001.
